The Assistant Women’s Soccer coach assists the head coaches and provides instruction to student-athletes. The assistant is responsible for teaching proper techniques and skill development, monitoring academic progress of student athletes, recruitment of prospective student athletes, travel planning, equipment inventory, composing opponent scouting reports and other athletic department support functions in preparation and conclusion of the athletic season.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree is required;
1 year of college level athletic coaching is preferred;
To work evenings, weekends, and some holidays;
Must comply with the Concordia University Texas’ Department of Athletics Procedures Handbook; NCAA and SCAC Manuals; NCAA and SCAC Coaches Code of Conduct and Ethics;
Planning and executing instructional practice sessions and facilitating discipline-specific individual lessons with student-athletes;
Monitor academic progress of student athletes;
Compose opponent scouting reports, video evaluation, and other athletic support functions in preparation and conclusion of the athletic season;
Exhibit a professional image while representing the University at games, campus events, practices, away trips, conventions, meetings, and in the local community;
Proven ability to recruit qualified student-athletes and lead student-athletes;
Maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record;
Complete the necessary CTX driving course;
Attendance at all department and University meetings, chapel services, and special events required as a CTX employee;
Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays;
First Aid, CPR and AED certification
This position is not eligible for remote work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to stand for an extended period of time.
The ability to lift 20-30 pounds.
The ability to travel long distances.
