What We’re Looking For:
Associates degree
2 year custodial services or first line supervision or event management experience.
Prior supervisory experience necessary.
A valid Indiana driver’s license
Skills needed:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to read, interpret, communicate, and effectively adhere to Purdue University, Big Ten Conference and NCAA rules, regulations, and guidelines. Knowledge of custodial methodology and procedures, supervisory best practices, procedural instruction development and facility mechanical systems.
Ability to effectively communicate with coaches, administrators, and staff; ability to plan and organize work to meet established deadlines;
Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communications, leadership, planning, problem-solving, project management and customer support. Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels.
Must be able to foster a participative supervisory stile that utilizes teamwork principles to successfully guide the work of others.
Personal computer and related software skills, e.g., work processing, spreadsheet, data query, internet, etc., necessary.
A valid Indiana driver’s license
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
For emergency purposes, required to carry a departmental cell phone and pager.
