| Position Summary |
The Director of Football Nutrition will provide comprehensive nutritional services to football student-athletes at the University of Georgia. The individual will be responsible for sports nutrition education and counseling to individual student-athletes and football team in addition to working with outside food vendors, nutritional supplements, and body composition analysis.

| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian (state of Georgia) credentials.
Strong background and working knowledge of athletics and fitness and be able to apply general nutrition principles to athletes at all levels. Ability to be organized, detailed and multi-task. Ability to clearly communicate with various types of athletes and explain basic nutrition concepts.

Regularly stand; walk; use hands and reach with arms. Occasionally sit and talk or hear. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions.

Performance Nutrition
- Serve as main sports nutritionist for the football program and includes practice and competition coverage as well as travel responsibilities
- Coordinate sports nutrition services for all student-athletes participating in intercollegiate football program
- Coordinate coverage and supervise medical care for football student- athletes and events as assigned by Senior Associate AD of Sports Medicine
- Nutritional consultations with sports medicine staff regarding athletic injuries
- Physician referral as appropriate including regular communication with Executive Associate AD of Sports Medicine and Director of Football S&C and regular communication with team physicians as appropriate

- Organize and direct nutritional supplement program for football

- Perform and interpret body composition testing including BodPod and/or DEXA
- Organization and administration of sports nutrition testing lab at the direction of Executive Associate AD of Sports Medicine
- Documentation of sports nutritional testing and counseling
- Collection of pertinent medical documents (i.e. lab reports, BodPod and/or DEXA tests, etc.)
- Develop student-athlete educational materials and opportunities
