Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head Coach, the Director of Men’s Basketball Operations assists with all operational and administrative aspects of the Men’s Basketball program.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of relevant experience in amateur or professional sports or as part of an intercollegiate athletic program.

Preferred Qualifications

College-level playing or coaching experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Summary

• Ability to work with staff, student-athletes and coaches from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Job Summary

• Directs on-campus recruiting visits, including travel arrangements and itinerary.
• Plans and arranges team travel and meals.
• Coordinates practice times at home and on the road.
• Records and maintains statistics during practices and games.
• Works with Athletic Marketing and Communications on social media accounts and promotions to increase attendance.
• Serves as liaison for Men’s Basketball team managers.
• Manages the administrative functions of summer camps and serves as camp liaison.
• Assists with organizational aspects of practices.
• Assists coaches with academic and personal development of student-athletes.
• Makes all arrangements for team members during breaks within the university calendar.
• Plans and coordinates special events for Men’s Basketball alumni and programs.
• Handles all coach and player ticket requests.

Travel/Overtime Requirements

Ability to travel and work nights, weekends and holidays, as necessary.
