This position oversees the planning and implementation of varsity sporting events for the UGA Athletic Association and various SEC and NCAA Championship events hosted on campus and serve as operations and construction manager for select facilities. Manage the work of the Athletics Building Services unit including custodial staff and facility support. Serve as the facility manager for Sanford Stadium. | | Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Effective computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to read, analyze and interpret NCAA, SEC and institutional rules and regulations. - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers and the general public. - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standardization exists. - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. - Ability to drive large passenger vehicles. - Ability to work nontraditional hours to include nights, weekends, and some holidays. | | Physical Demands |
