JOB SUMMARY:

Counsels students, faculty and staff on curriculum requirements and academic regulations. Monitors degree requirements and gives final clearance for graduation. Performs administrative tasks to ensure orderly graduations. Monitors accuracy of academic records. Assists students in transfer of credits earned at other institutions. Complies with University, State and Federal requirements and safety policies. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

40% - Essential - Student Records Management: Monitors student academic records from matriculation to graduation. Enters various academic record updates for all undergraduate students in iROAR. Coordinates record keeping with administrative specialists in tasks that support records maintenance and verify degree requirements. Utilizes degree works to ensure that graduation seniors fulfill graduation requirements. Stays abreast of academic regulations and curricular requirements and evaluates their impact on students. Advises students and parents on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and limits access to educational records as required by Federal Law.

30% - Essential - Communications : Counsels students and communicates with faculty regarding academic policies, curricular requirements and revisions to academic records. Interprets and explains information in degree works reports to faculty and students. Maintains awareness and knowledge of academic rules and regulations of the University. Acquires and maintains knowledge of Ellucian Banner forms, custom jobs, and integration packages (DW, BDMS, Workflow) and applies information according to University policies and department procedures.

20% - Essential - Graduation Management : Assists in producing three graduation programs annually representing six ceremonies. Evaluates degree works reports for undergraduate candidates to verify that degree requirements have been completed. Monitors final grades for undergraduates and prepares deletion reports and changes to honors. Reports details of candidate deletions to academic departments.

10% - Essential - Athletic Compliance:
Certifies 100 percent University compliance for satisfactory progress and continuing eligibility for student-athletes. Interprets, monitors and applies National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) rules and regulations.
