Job Description :

This position is responsible for, but not limited to: managing day-to-day marketing and promotion for the Utah Summer Games and its affiliated programs, whether owned or operated. The position also acts as a key liaison and organizer for notable events and relationships, playing an overall support role in event management for the department.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Oversees, but not limited to: managing USG email database, sending marketing communications to prospective participants through email and social media, managing USG website through prescribed CMS platform, and creating marketing materials to promote all USG owned and/or operated activities.
• Organizes key events and relationships, whether as the lead on the event or as a liaison. Roles may include event management, logistical support, and/or representing SUU and USG at athletic and cultural development events.
• Aggregates data from participants, contractors, affiliated partners and employees on their experiences, organizes data to inform future department decisions.
• Assists Executive Director with department communication needs, including but not limited to: correspondence with partners, corporate partnership fulfillment.
• Manages department social media channels, working with contracted parties on management of content calendars and ensuring tone and branding is consistent with Southern Utah University guidelines and policies.

Education Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree required. Preferred degrees in communications, marketing, sales, business, and/or finance.
• 1-3 years event management experience, preferably in athletics or university setting.
• 1-3 years in communications and marketing.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite preferred
