Responsibilities

Oversee aspects of the athletic program, including, but not limited to:

• Recruiting, supervising, developing, and evaluating coaches, in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
• Scheduling and coordinating events, games, practices, facilities, transportation, and associated personnel/volunteers.
• Directing the setup, management, and post-event procedures for athletic events.
• Overseeing inventory control for equipment and uniforms and recommending new purchases when needed.
• Assisting Athletics Director (AD) with meetings with stakeholders and social media as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with all professional and regulatory expectations and working with AD to change and enforce policies.
• Mediating conflicts between stakeholders such as parents, students, and coaches.
• Assisting the AD in the development of an annual budget and its implementation.
• In collaboration with administration and AD, reinforcing and developing a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and scholarship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong understanding of FHSAA rules and regulations is required. The Assistant Athletic Director is the expert in residence on these regulations and will be expected to keep the school in compliance with all rules and regulations.
• Must be experienced and masterful with conflict resolution that arises within the school athletic culture.
• Florida Athletic Coaching and CPR Certifications; or the ability to obtain prior to hire if selected.
