Summary:   Queens University of Charlotte’s Athletics is an NCAA Division I program distinguished by its commitment to transforming the lives of its students and consistently competing at the highest possible levels. The Royals joined the ASUN Conference on July 1, 2022.

 Former graduate assistants (GA) and interns have used their learning and practicing experiences with the Royals to land jobs with organizations such as the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, USA Triathlon, USA Swimming, and Ally to name a few. 

 This is a 12-month renewable internship that reports directly to the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications. The Graduate Assistant (GA) position begins on July 1, 2025. The successful candidate must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Queens University of Charlotte. There is no expressed or implied commitment to a paid position upon completion of the internship. This role is eligible for tuition remission for up to six credit hours per semester and a stipend. No housing is offered.

 ** Duties and Responsibilities **

This is a great opportunity to enhance an individual’s graphic and video content creation skills. The graduate assistant for graphic and video content creation will learn how to assist the athletic communications and marketing with using social media platforms to grow the Queens Athletics brand. The selected individual will be provided instruction and directions and perform duties under close observation. There is no expressed or implied commitment to a paid position upon completion of the internship. All graphics and videos will be produced for use on the Queens Athletics website, social media platforms, Queens Sports Network, printed pieces, promotional material, publications and digital media.

  • Learn and practice how to produce graphics
  • Learn and practice assistance in production of digital web content 
  • Learn and practice how to produce video content
  • Learn and practice how to operate cameras for photography and video
  • Learn and practice promoting athletic teams and student-athletes via social media
