Job Title

Head Assistant Coach - Men's Wrestling

Position Purpose

As the Head Assistant Men’s Wrestling Coach, your role is crucial in supporting the head coach in managing and developing the men’s wrestling program. Emphasis on recruiting, enrolling, educating, retaining and graduating highly qualified student-athletes. This person will help lead the Men’s Program and assist the Wrestling Director to create a positive, winning culture and exceptional student-athlete experience; and ensures that the New England College Wrestling program is administered with full commitment to compliance regarding all team, institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Essential Duties Summary

  • Coaching: Assist in planning and executing practices, developing training programs, and providing technical instruction to the wrestlers.
  • Recruitment: Collaborate with Wrestling staff to identify and recruit wrestlers who perform well athletically, and academically. Coordinate with coaching staff to have student athletes visit campus and reach out to students on a regular basis to build relationships with parents, coaches, and student athletes.
  • Student-Athlete Development: Focus on the individual development, and team development of wrestlers. Assist in coaching student athletes to improve technique, strength, and conditioning. Assist in the monitoring of the academic progress of student-athletes and promote academic preparedness for student athletes.
