Job Description

Oversees the APR, scheduling, budgeting, recruiting, work-outs, travel arrangements, and game planning for Tarleton’s Women’s Beach Volleyball program. Performs tasks related to game administration of sporting events hosted by Tarleton State University. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA); Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate.

Responsibilities
-50% Coaches student-athletes individually and in groups, and demonstrates game techniques. Develops game strategy and position assignments. Oversees the APR and academic expectations.Plans coaching and practice sessions in accordance with NCAA and Conference regulations. Instructs student-athletes on physical health, team concepts, and safety. Instructs student-athletes in the rules and fundamentals of their sport. Monitors and maintains the discipline and conduct of student-athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics program. Ensures adherence to all NCAA, Conference, and University rules by student-athletes and supporting staff.

-25% Oversees recruiting efforts, travel arrangements, program budgeting, equipment management and game day preparations. Promotes the athletic program and specific sport through community events, public speaking, fundraising, and marketing.

-20% This position may be required to perform tasks related to game administration of sporting events hosted by Tarleton State University.

-5% Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
-Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Three years of coaching experience.

The target base annual salary is commensurate with experience and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
