We are currently seeking a full-time and onsite Head Men’s Volleyball Coach for the Athletic department. This position manages a competitive NCAA Division I Men's Volleyball program. The salary for this position starts at $60,000.
Primary Responsibilities:
Follow and enforce all NCAA bylaws, league regulations, and university academic and other policies and procedures.
Recruit quality players.
Hire and supervise all Assistant Coaches, GA’s, and other team staff.
Establish practice schedules and practice content.
Oversee and monitor the academic progress of student-athletes.
Serve as an instructor for one HPER course per year.
Manage, develop, and oversee all aspects of the team’s budget.
Coordinate equipment, uniform, and supplies needed for team.
Create positive publications for the men’s volleyball team with the support of the marketing team.
Participate in departmental meetings, searches, committees, and development activities as needed.
Actively participate and assist in the evaluation of and formulation of departmental policies.
Establish team rules; behavior guidelines and expectations consistent with university, NCAA and Athletic Department policies.
Create and foster an environment that promotes the overall health and welfare of student-athletes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
4 years at the Division I level with extensive recruitment experience.
Working knowledge of NCAA DI rules, fundamentals, techniques, and rules of sport.
Strong supervisory, public relations, and fundraising skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Able to effectively relate to diverse constituents including students, student-athletes, faculty and stakeholders.
Able to develop and implement a recruitment strategy.
Able to demonstrate leadership and coaching skills with integrity and a commitment to the academic success of student-athletes.
Must have a valid driver’s license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Check policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
